Open consultation on digital product passport

Following the call for evidence ended in December 2024, a public consultation was open by the European Commission beginning of April to adopt a delegated act laying down rules on the operation of digital product passport (DPP) service providers, an essential component of the wider DPP governance.

In the context of the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), the DPP has been introduced as a tool to provide easy access to digital information on products’ sustainability, circularity and legal compliance.

The consultation will be open until the 1^st of July 2025.
